Let’s be real—things feel heavy right now. It seems like every time we turn on the news or scroll through social media, we’re hit with another tragedy, another crisis, another reason to feel helpless. And if you’re someone with a big heart, it’s easy to feel like no matter what you do, it’s never enough.
But I want you to hear this: You are not powerless. You do have control over how you navigate these times. And even in the darkest moments, there is still light to be found.
So how do we stay grounded when the world feels chaotic? How do we cope when so much is beyond our control? Here’s what I’ve learned:
1. Accept What You Can’t Control & Focus on What You Can
We can’t single-handedly stop wars, injustice, or natural disasters. But we can control:
• How we treat people around us.
• How much negativity we consume.
• How we take care of our minds and bodies.
• The small ways we bring love and kindness into the world.
When we focus on what is within our power, we take our strength back.

2. Limit Doomscrolling & Protect Your Peace
Being informed is important. Being consumed by negativity isn’t.
• Set specific times for news and social media (e.g., 10 minutes in the morning, then move on).
• Unfollow accounts that only fuel anxiety.
• Balance heavy news with uplifting content—music, books, or even funny videos that bring light into your day.
You are allowed to step away. Guard your peace like your life depends on it—because it does.
3. Find Joy in Small Moments
The world’s suffering does not cancel out your right to experience joy. In fact, joy is a powerful act of resistance.
• Take a walk and feel the sun on your skin.
• Laugh—deep, belly-shaking laughter.
• Light a candle and sit in stillness.
• Play with your pet (because let’s be honest, they’re little balls of therapy).
Joy reminds us that beauty stillexists, even in hard times.

4. Do What You Can, No Matter How Small
Feeling powerless? Take action—any action.
• Donate to a cause that matters to you.
• Offer a kind word to someone struggling.
• Volunteer or simply be present for a friend in need.
Even the smallest acts of love create ripples we can’t even see.
5. Connect to Something Bigger Than Yourself
Whether it’s faith, spirituality, or simply believing in humanity, lean into something greater than this moment. God is still in control.Even when the world looks messy, He has not abandoned us.
Pray. Meditate. Journal. Sit in quiet reflection. Do whatever reminds you that this life is bigger than today’s headlines.

6. Feel It, But Don’t Let It Consume You
It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to be angry. It’s okay to grieve for the world. But don’t stay in that space.
• Feel it.
• Express it.
• Then release it.
Holding onto pain doesn’t change the world—it only steals your ability to be the change.
7. Find Your People
You are not alone in feeling this way. Find a community that lifts you up. Whether it’s an online support group, a local organization, or just a trusted friend, having people to process with makes a world of difference.
8. Remember: Darkness Has Always Existed—And Light Has Always Won
Yes, these are hard times. But history has always had dark seasons. And guess what? Every time, people like you—people who choose love, faith, and action—have helped turn the tide.
The world will heal. It always does. And until then, just do what you canwith love. That is enough. And that matters.
Final Thoughts:
You don’t have to fix everything. You don’t have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. Just take care of yourself, take care of those around you, and trust that even the smallest moments of love and kindness make a difference.
Because they do. And so do you.
Sending you love, strength, and peace. You are not alone. ❤️
