God’s Provision Is Still Working: Thanksgiving Encouragement for 2025

Happy Thanksgiving!

Even when it feels like the blessings skipped your house — trust and believe, God did not forget about you.

🕊️ When Gratitude Feels Hard

Let’s be real. This Thanksgiving doesn’t feel like a celebration for everybody.

Some of us are holding it together by a thread. Bills are due. The fridge might not be as full. Jobs have been lost. The price of everything is up but your paycheck didn’t get the memo. And behind the Instagram smiles, many women are silently wondering, “God, what about me?”

If that’s you… this message is for you.

✨ You Are Not Forgotten

Sis, I know it feels like God is quiet, but don’t confuse silence with absence. Provision doesn’t always look like overflow. Sometimes it’s just enough to make it through the week, or the strength to get out of bed and try again. That too… is provision.

Psalm 37:25 reminds us:

“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

Your needs are still seen. Your name is still written in His hands. And your miracle hasn’t expired — it’s just still in process.

🍞 Provision Is Not Just About Money

Let’s shift perspective. God’s provision shows up in unexpected ways:

A friend who checks on you at the right time. A random refund you forgot was coming. The peace that floods your soul after prayer. A warm home, clean sheets, a song that brings tears.

That’s provision, too.

In this season, learn to spot the small mercies. That’s where gratitude grows — not in the size of what you have, but in the eyes that notice it.

🌾 Practicing Thanksgiving When Life Feels Bare

If this year felt hard, here are ways to still honor Thanksgiving with a soft, faith-filled spirit:

1. Write a Provision Journal

List 5 ways God has kept you this year — even if it’s just “I made it.”

2. Prepare a Small Plate with Big Heart

Even if it’s takeout or ramen, light a candle, play your favorite music, and make it sacred.

3. Call Someone You Love

Loneliness fades in connection. A short call can be healing for you and them.

4. Speak Psalm 23 Over Yourself

Even if you don’t have a “feast,” your cup still runs over in love, grace, and peace.

5. Make Space for a Gratitude Cry

Sometimes you just need to weep, worship, and let your soul exhale.

💛 You Still Deserve Joy

You don’t need to earn the right to be grateful. You don’t have to perform for God’s provision. And you don’t have to have it all together to enjoy a moment of joy.

Take a slow walk. Soak in a hot bath. Dance barefoot in your living room. Watch a nostalgic movie. Journal what you do have. That’s soft life. That’s sacred life. That’s provision.

🙌🏾 God Is Still Moving

This is not the end. It’s a stretching season — not a stopping season. You are being strengthened for the next chapter. And your name is still in God’s divine queue.

So even if this Thanksgiving looks different, know this:

You are not behind.

You are not broken.

You are being built — in stillness, in surrender, and in soft strength.

A Thanksgiving Prayer for Women Everywhere

Try Jesus, NOT me.

Dear God, Thank You for Carrying Us 🙏🏽

Dear God,

Thank You for carrying me — even when I didn’t realize I was being held.

Through the silent nights and weary days… You were there.

When I was too tired to pray and too numb to cry — You covered me anyway.

Thank You for showing up through unexpected kindness…

For giving me just enough strength, just enough peace, just enough provision.

Even when I questioned, doubted, or felt forgotten — Your love never failed.

You kept me. You caught me. You carried me.

This year wasn’t always soft.

But You were always steady.

So as I sit with the weight and the wonder of where I’ve been,

I just want to say:

Thank You.

Thank You for holding me together when I was falling apart.

Thank You for being God when I couldn’t be strong.

Thank You for carrying me — all the way here.

Amen.

✍🏾 Journal Prompts for a Grateful Soul

1. Where did God carry me this year — emotionally, financially, spiritually? (Think about moments you made it through but didn’t know how.)

2. What “small” provision meant the most to me this season? (Was it a text, a refund, a meal, a hug, a nap? Write it down.)

3. Who or what has been an extension of God’s love in my life? (List people, memories, or divine moments that reminded you: you’re not alone.)

4. What am I thankful for that I didn’t expect? (Sometimes the best blessings are unplanned — even the ones that came in tears.)

5. What do I need to release before the year ends — and what do I want to receive? (Surrender and expectation go hand in hand, sis.)

💛 Soft Reminder:

You’re allowed to pause this holiday.

You’re allowed to feel deeply and be grateful for what’s real — not just what’s perfect.

Let this prayer be a holy hush to your soul and a reset for your spirit.
