✨ Devotional: When God Becomes the Author Again

📖 Scripture — Isaiah 61:3 (NIV)

“He will give a crown of beauty for ashes…”

🌿 Devotional Reflection

Sis… sometimes life hands you chapters you never asked to live through — heartbreak, disappointment, betrayal, delays, silent seasons, and roads that felt too heavy to walk alone.

But here’s the beautiful truth:

God never leaves you in the last painful chapter.

He steps in as Author, Editor, Redeemer, and Restorer.

He takes the ashes you thought disqualified you…

and turns them into beauty that sets you apart.

He takes the broken pieces you tried to hide…

and turns them into the very places His glory will shine.

He takes the pages covered in tears…

and rewrites them with promise, purpose, and peace.

Your story isn’t ending — it’s transforming.

And the same God who allowed the old chapters to close is the same God preparing a new storyline full of healing, clarity, and redemption.

God is not rewriting your story to punish you.

He’s rewriting it to free you.

🌸 Reflection Questions

Take this moment and journal honestly:

What part of my story still feels painful or unfinished?

Where do I need to invite God to rewrite, restore, or redeem?

How do I feel knowing that my ashes can become beauty?

🌼 Affirmation for Your New Chapter

“God is rewriting my story with intention.

My ashes are becoming beauty.

I am not behind — I am becoming.”

🤎 Prayer

God,

I place my story in Your hands — the pages I’m proud of and the ones I’d rather hide.

Rewrite what was broken.

Restore what was lost.

Redeem what was stolen.

Replace every ash with beauty, every wound with healing, and every delay with divine alignment.

Help me trust Your pen more than my pain.

I surrender every chapter to You.

Amen. 🤎
