Whew, sis… I almost forgot it was Tuesday!
Being snowed in for the past two days completely threw me off. I’ve been in my cozy robe, sipping tea, losing all sense of time 😅
But God said, “You still got something to say.”
So here we are — right on divine time.
Let’s talk, heart to heart. 💬
You’ve been doing the inner work.
You’ve been journaling, praying, setting boundaries, pouring into yourself.
But why does it still feel like you’re stuck in survival mode?
Sometimes the truth is simple but hard to face:
You can’t heal in the same environment that broke you.
💔 Familiar Doesn’t Always Mean Safe
Just because you’ve always been there…
Just because they’ve always been around…
Doesn’t mean they’re safe for your healing.
Whether it’s a toxic relationship, a draining job, a childhood home full of triggers, or even your own unhealed routines — staying in that environment sends mixed messages to your spirit.
You’re telling your soul, “We want to be free,”
but your choices are saying, “Let’s stay where the chains are.”
🌿 What Healing Really Needs
Sis, healing needs room.
Room to cry.
Room to breathe.
Room to bloom without judgment or manipulation.
Healing needs:
Peace over performance Boundaries over burnout Community over codependency Stillness over stimulation God’s voice over the crowd’s noise
🧠 Signs It’s Time to Shift Your Environment
You leave certain people feeling drained instead of filled.
You’ve outgrown the conversations, habits, and routines.
You feel more like a caregiver than a participant in your own life.
You’re constantly second-guessing your worth or peace.
Your body is showing signs of emotional stress (fatigue, anxiety, sleep issues).
Listen to your spirit. She’s not being dramatic — she’s trying to protect you.
✨ You’re Allowed to Choose Again
God didn’t create you to cope — He created you to heal.
And sometimes healing means walking away.
From the group chat.
From the ex you keep checking on.
From the situationship, the fake friendships, the Sunday-only faith…
You get to choose peace over proximity.
And no, that doesn’t make you selfish — it makes you wise.
📓 Journal Prompts
What environments or relationships feel like they’re dimming my light?
What would my life feel like if I chose peace without guilt?
What version of me am I protecting by staying the same?
🔐 Mental Reframes
“I am not responsible for fixing what I didn’t break.”
“Familiar chaos is still chaos.”
“If it costs me my peace, it’s too expensive.”
“Healing requires honesty, not just hope.”
