💌 Girl to Girl: The Love You’ve Been Looking For Was Always Within You

Hey girl, hey!

It’s February 3rd. Love is in the air. But sis… so is pressure.

You’ve probably already seen the posts — couples in matching pajamas, surprise bouquets, love notes in cursive fonts, and date night countdowns. And if you’re not currently boo’d up? Whew, the silence can be loud.

But let me gently remind you…

You’re not unloved. You’re not forgotten. And you’re definitely not behind.

You’re just being invited into a deeper kind of love this season — the kind that starts with you, flows from God, and reaches others from a full, overflowing cup.

💗 Start With God’s Love: Your First Valentine

God’s love is the blueprint, the foundation, the constant. It doesn’t require makeup, milestones, or marriage to show up. It’s the kind of love that met you in your lowest, carried you through heartbreak, and still calls you worthy — every single day.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love.” – Jeremiah 31:3

So before you go texting “wyd” to your ex or spiraling in someone else’s highlight reel, remember: You already belong to a love that’s eternal, healing, and holy.

💞 Then Comes Self-Love: The Sacred Kind

This month isn’t just about roses and romance.

It’s about reclaiming yourself. Loving the woman you’re becoming. Choosing softness. Rest. Boundaries. And grace. Because how you love you sets the tone for everything else.

Self-love this Valentine’s season looks like:

Saying no to people who drain you Praying instead of overthinking Taking yourself out — even if it’s just for tea and a Target stroll Writing love letters to your past self for surviving Wearing what makes you feel fine, not what others expect

You don’t need to earn softness. You are softness. Let her shine.

🌹 Then Love Others — From a Healed Heart

God didn’t create you to pour from empty.

He created you to reflect His love — and that means showing up for others after you’ve shown up for yourself.

Whether you’re:

Loving your children Encouraging a sister-friend Supporting your community Or even dating again with new eyes

Let it come from a place of overflow, not obligation.

✍🏽 Journal Prompts for This Valentine’s Week:

What does God’s love feel like to me right now?

Where have I neglected my own heart in the name of being strong?

How do I want to be loved — and how can I begin by giving that to myself?

Who in my life needs love from a healed version of me?

❤️ Closing Word:

Sis… love is not a finish line you cross when you get chosen by someone else.

Love is a presence you walk in daily when you know who and whose you are.

Whether this February brings roses or rest, bae or boundaries — may it bring you closer to the truest love of all: the one that begins in Heaven and blooms in you.
