Stop Waiting for Things to Calm Down to Start Living

Hey Girl!

Girl… I’m here, I’m present. 💛

Sometimes Thursday comes and goes, and I be like… wait, I was supposed to post 😅

But don’t worry — I got you today.

And honestly? This message is right on time, because if life has been feeling a little all over the place lately… this one is for you.

Because life doesn’t pause for stability

Sis…

Be honest.

How many times have you told yourself:

“I’ll start when things settle down…”

“I’ll focus on me when life gets less busy…”

“I’ll live fully when everything is finally in order…”

But let’s tell the truth gently:

Things are always going to be something.

There will always be:

bills

responsibilities

unexpected situations

emotional seasons

uncertainty

And if you keep waiting for life to be calm before you start living…

you’ll be waiting forever.

🌪 Stability Is Not a Requirement for Living

We’ve been conditioned to believe:

“I need everything together before I can enjoy my life.”

But life doesn’t work like that.

Life happens:

in the middle of chaos

in the middle of healing

in the middle of figuring things out

You don’t need perfect conditions to experience joy.

You just need permission.

🧠 The Trap of “I’ll Start Later”

“I’ll start later” sounds responsible…

But most of the time, it’s fear.

Fear of:

not being ready

not doing it perfectly

things going wrong

stepping outside your comfort zone

So you delay your life.

Not because you can’t live it…

but because you’re waiting for certainty.

🌿 What You’re Missing While You Wait

While you’re waiting for everything to calm down…

You’re missing:

small moments of joy

opportunities to grow

experiences that could change your life

peace that’s available right now

Sis… life is happening while you’re waiting.

🤍 Living Doesn’t Have to Be Big

Let’s shift this.

Living your life doesn’t mean:

quitting your job tomorrow

having everything figured

out making huge, dramatic changes

Sometimes living looks like:

• taking yourself out for coffee

• laughing with a friend

• starting that idea in small steps

• resting without guilt

• enjoying a quiet moment

• trying something new

Living is found in the small moments.

✂️ You Don’t Need a Perfect Life to Feel Alive

You can have:

bills and still have joy

stress and still have peace

uncertainty and still have hope

Two things can exist at once.

Your life doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.

🙏🏽 Faith in the Middle, Not Just the Outcome

Sis…

God is not just present in the “everything worked out” moments.

He’s present in:

the waiting the uncertainty the in-between the rebuilding

So why wait to live until everything is finished…

When you can walk with Him through it?

🧘🏾‍♀️ Start Living Now — Practically

Here’s how you begin:

1. Stop Postponing Joy

Find something small to enjoy today.

2. Take One Step Toward What You Want

Not the whole plan — just the next step.

3. Create Moments, Not Milestones

You don’t need a big event to feel alive.

4. Release the Need for Control

You don’t need certainty to move forward.

💬 Final Word

Sis…

Life is not going to send you a message saying:

“Okay, everything is calm now. You can start living.”

It doesn’t work like that.

You have to decide:

“I’m going to live anyway.”

Even while:

things are uncertain

life feels busy you’re still figuring it out

Because the truth is…

Your life is happening right now.

Don’t miss it waiting for calm.
